From John Wells - Yeoman Sailor

Hi Daryl

I thought you might be interested to know that this has been 'my year'.
My first full year with the new mainsail on my Yeoman, and I have had very good results in our club racing and last weekend we won the '3 Bs' (inter club race on the Broads). I will certainly look to you when my Genoa needs replacing!

Dear Daryl

The new sails you made are great, this weekend saw us use them in anger for the first time, due to various issues previously (non-of them sail wise).
Close reaching up to Alderney saw us out strip the other First 211, although a later nav error negated the lead.
Then the sail home close hauled for 4 hours gave plenty of time to play with car positions etc, while she sat in the groove.

Thanks a lot.

Banks membrane race sails power Rosamarine 2 a Grand Soleil 46 to win the GS trophy 2010 with 4 first places in IRC Division and 3 First place in ORCi in a highly competitive 38 boat fleet - our congratulations to owner Riccardo Acernese and his crew.

Firefly is a Sadler 290 that we have recently designed and manufactured in the UK a set of Racing C-Laminate sails for.  Jeremy Kaye the proud owner of Firefly makes the following comment:

Just a note to say how pleased I am now with the sails I bought from Banks. In particular the no 2 jib, it is much more versatile and easier to handle than the big genoa that I have taken the big one off permanently and will get my IRC based on the no2. The spinnaker is also great now that I have it up and running.

Many thanks for your good advice.

Jeremy Kaye

Dear Daryl

Just a short note to say thanks for the sails, they are performing well, they have transformed the Sotally Tober.  Still getting used to the trimming positions and still think there is more to come. only problem is getting the time to go and experiment and sail.  First Race will be inter island on the 26th June so hopefully we'll get a good result.

Thanks to you and all your team for sails.

'Forgot to mention that last time we went down for Cork week we got 3rd in class winning the last 2 races. The 0.5oz runner was great - we even won the slalom course reaching at very tight angles in light airs using the runner!'

Jeff Penfold Oyster 26 'Minos'

Jeff Penfold Oyster 26 Minos Banks Sails Just got your note though the post about the sail cover .. thank you for doing this for us.

It also reminded me to let you know that, finally, we got out with the new cruising main and #3 last weekend.

What can I say, except they both look great, and the boat went really well. We're both very pleased.

Jeremy and the rest of the team raced for 389 miles, ran for 72 miles and climbed more than 4,000 metres.

Banks Sails are proud to be associated with such a worthy cause.

Their performance is outstanding!

Further to our chat at the London Boat Show I have to put on record how immensely pleased I am with the new sails you provided me with last year.
Their performance is outstanding and during a run from Neiuwpoort  & Ramsgate they knocked off an hour on our scheduled time. They set exceptionally well and in light airs they are a dream, even with two reefs in they still perform perfectly.
It has restored an older boat back to pleasurable and exciting sailing.
